My vision is to bring peace to the world by encouraging all people to find their own inner truth and tranquility. People are profoundly amazing. We’re deeply and radically incredible. Too often, though, this truth is obstructed by negative self-talk and doubt. I want to permanently transform the conversations we have with ourselves by connecting people to their own consciousness.
Michelle Meisenbach grew up in a quaint town in the mountains of Northern California where she stood out for being clever, ambitious and creative. She moved to Arizona in 1987 where she studied architecture and engineering and built a career as a well-respected electrical and lighting designer for over 25 years, eventually starting her own business. The transition from engineering to professional artist was an easy one, as lighting design and drawing every day kept those creative muscles strong.
As much as she loved her career, and as scary as it was to start something new, she knew from that first stroke with oil on her brush that she had to paint for a living. She attended the intensive online Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute where she honed her skills and found her voice. Her unique style of painting the human form is moving, humble and expressive. She uses bold, rich colors and high contrast imagery which results in powerful pieces that not only move the viewer, but challenges them to look deep inside.
Michelle currently lives in Chandler, Arizona with her husband, children, and two little dogs. She has two girls who are still at home and her son has gone off to college. Her studio, a spare bedroom, is meticulously organized and a wonderful use of space. One half is dedicated to painting and the other half bodes a comfy chair and small table where she studies and writes. Michelle seems to have boundless energy and is often working in her studio first thing in the morning and well into the night, although she would admit an afternoon catnap is essential. Michelle’s passion for painting radiates from her pieces and her soul. Her dream is to have a community studio space where artists can showcase their work, paint, learn, and teach.
